NEW KINTRAK HELPDESK & KNOWLEDGE BASE

A new KinTrak helpdesk has been set up. You can contact the Helpdesk by Phone - 1300 923 391 Email - support@kintrak.com Website - http://helpdesk.kintrak.com The helpdesk website alows you to register new support tickets, and is also linked into our new knowledge base, where KinTrak users can access information and tips and tricks about using the KinTrak system. Many users have been contacting individual KinTrak staff directly over the years. We now ask you to please use the general KinTrak contact details to ensure your query is answered in the quickest time by our pool of support staff. This way we can ensure that your query is addressed regardless of staff absences or leave.


PROGENY VERSION 8

As you may be aware, Progeny have recently released Version 8. As with usual KinTrak protocol, we require a period of testing of Version 8 to maintain compatibility between the Progeny and KinTrak systems. We will inform you once testing is complete.

KinTrak v7.4 (7.108.12) has been released and is now available via our new web based downloads system. In conjunction Progeny client 7.6.05 is also available, and includes the new merge pedigree feature.

NSW STATEWIDE ROLLOUT PROJECT

KinTrak has commenced stage one of a rollout of the KinTrak system across all of New South Wales, which covers a population base of over 6.5 million people and will have nearly 150 clinicians all accessing a centralised database to manage clinical genetics throughout the state.


VERSION 7 IS HERE!

After some major security changes and updating KinTrak version 7 has been released. The key features of version 7 include: > additional security with KinTrak providing standard security classes to assist in the changeover. >>> Security is now applied to each field >>> KinTrak functions are now also listed to enable the service to customise security to their own requirements eg “add family” and “add appointment” >>> the “export to access” feature has been enhanced to “include identifying fields” for users wishing to export an identified dataset >>> the “treatment date” can now be set for a future date to enable the user to record a planned future start date for a specific treatment There are a number of additional functions and features that can be provided on request or found in the v7 release notes.


MORE KINTRAK USERS

KinTrak would like to welcome additional users of KinTrak from Queensland Department of Health. KinTrak provides support for this statewide service which reaches from Brisbane in the South of the State to Cairns, 1400 km to the North, where KinTrak uses a Citrix environment to provide clinicians with access.

KINTRAK IMPLEMENTED IN WA

KinTrak was recently implemented for the WA Familial Hypercholesterolemia Project in Western Australia. This project is being implemented as a pilot to potentially lay the foundation for a national FH program which would provide a robust platform for managing genetic hypercholesterolemia.
