about kintrak

KinTrak was developed in response to the need for robust and comprehensive data management for the management of familial disorders.

With the increasing availability of genetic testing in familial disorders, the South Australian Clinical Genetics Service (“SACGS”) faced the challenge of growing demand and limited resources, for genetic counseling and genetic testing.

The diversity of genetic disorders managed through the SACGS required data management to be:

• easy to use
• flexible
• useful
• comprehensive
• cohesive

As a result, KinTrak was developed and tested in a demanding clinical genetics environment.

The functionality and information of KinTrak was blended with the pedigree management capabilities of Progeny, to enable the two systems to interface.

The end result is a unique and efficient data management solution for any clinical service caring for people with familial disorders.
